More About Our Services

  • Wellness Examinations

Preventative medicine is important in maintaining a healthy, happy and long life. We offer complete physical examinations with each office visit. We feel that it is important to treat the whole pet and not just the presenting complaint.

  • Advanced Care

We offer a variety of advanced care services: chemotherapy, blood transfusion, hospitalization (ICU), oxygen therapy, isolation, IV fluid therapy, abdominocentesis/thoracocentesis, biopsy, aspirates, amputations, pyometra surgery, cesarean section, splenectomy, cystotomy, electrocautery procedures, splint placement, hernia repair, foreign body removal, enucleation, and more.

  • Emergency Care

Both Drs. Lane are shareholders of Pet Emergency Treatment and Specialties of Lancaster. We refer our after-hour emergencies to their fully-staffed practice. During our regular office hours we will see patients needing emergency treatment as necessary.

  • In-house Blood Work

Our in-house laboratory also has equipment to run blood work for Heartworm, Lyme disease, Feline Leukemia and FIV, blood glucose, electrolytes, PCV/TS, CBC, and Chemistry Profiles.

  • In-house Lab Tests

Our in-house laboratory area allows us to perform fecal flotations, urinalysis, ear smears & cytology, eye stains, eye pressure measurement, cytologies, blood pressure, skin scrapes and fungal assays. Our leading edge equipment enables us to get results in minutes which guide treatment plans immediately for very sick or emergency patients.

  • Surgical Procedures

In our surgical suite we perform a wide array of surgical procedures, including but not limited to spays/neuters, cystotomies, enucleations (removal of the eye), limb amputations, splenectomies, hernia repairs, mass removals, biopsies, and exploratory surgeries.

  • Dental Procedures

Dentistry is a very important part of our pets’ well-being. We provide a full dental evaluation with scaling, polishing and x-rays as needed. Our dental x-ray unit captures images digitally and enables visualization of the roots of the teeth. Dr. Ron Lane has done additional study in the surgical extraction of teeth.

  • Ultrasound & Radiology

We offer ultrasonography for our patients which is a non-invasive way to assess the internal organs. Ultrasound is very useful in emergency situations. For immediate on-site diagnostic imaging we have an advanced digital x-ray system which provides images for evaluation in 8 seconds.

  • Oncology

Dr. Lauren Lane has a strong interest in oncology. Our practice offers chemotherapy for more common tumors such as Lymphoma, Hemangiosarcoma, Mast Cell tumors, and Osteosarcoma. Although boarded in the Canine/Feline Specialty of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, she is not a boarded oncologist and will refer and work with a boarded oncologist, as the case demands.

  • Internal Medicine

Our diagnostic imaging, blood tests and other accessible lab tests enable us to diagnose and manage diseases affecting the internal organs. Chronic conditions can be managed successfully with routine monitoring and medications.

  • End of Life

It is always difficult to say goodbye to our beloved furry family members. During this time we will be with you and your family to guide you through all of the options and quality of life consideration.

Payment Policy

Payment for services is expected at the time of service. If you are unable to pay for all of the recommended products and services, we will discuss what is most needed and affordable while deferring other less essential procedures, treatments, and products until payment is available. We provide estimates as needed.

For other payment solutions, we recommend CareCredit, a medical credit company with a range of payment options.

Pet insurance allows pet owners the freedom to make medical treatment decisions based on medical needs instead of personal finances. To obtain the best premiums, shopping for your pet insurance while your pet is young will provide the best coverage options for the best pricing. We have found Pet Insurance Review to be a helpful website for pet insurance comparison.
